Bayern Munich have reportedly reached a verbal agreement to sign Kieran Trippier from Newcastle. The German giants emerged as shock contenders to sign the 33-year-old this week, with the North-East club prepared to sell in order to help comply with Financial Fair Play regulations.
Now according to Sky Germany reporter Florian Plettenberg, the two clubs have settled on a deal. And Trippier, who would link-up with former Tottenham teammate Harry Kane, is seemingly prepared to head to the Bundesliga.
“Verbal agreement between FC Bayern and Trippier has been reached now!” he wrote on social media. “The 33-year-old keen to join Bayern immediately. Bayern and Newcastle in contact.”
