JUST IN: Titans’ Unbelievable Struggles Continue as Key Issue Undermines Their Defeat to Chargers – What’s Going Wrong?

The Tennessee Titans’ struggle with “complimentary football” has haunted them throughout this challenging season, most recently in their loss to the Los Angeles Chargers. Head coach Brian Callahan frequently emphasizes the importance of each team unit supporting the others, yet the Titans continually fall short in this area. This problem was glaring in their earlier 52-14 defeat to the Detroit Lions, where every positive moment the Titans created was quickly erased by a costly misstep.

Against the Chargers, the Titans showcased some promising plays but faltered in maintaining consistency across phases. After a rare missed field goal, the defense immediately surrendered a lengthy touchdown drive. Even when the offense found momentum early in the second half, special teams allowed a lengthy return that set up another Chargers score. The Titans’ inability to respond constructively to setbacks has been a recurring theme.

In their lone victory over the New England Patriots, the Titans briefly managed to play as a cohesive unit, showing resilience in adversity. However, for Tennessee to establish a winning culture, they’ll need to execute this approach consistently, ensuring that each unit rises to the occasion and supports the others when faced with challenges.
