After making easy work of the visiting Pittsburgh Steelers during the first round of the NFL playoffs, the Buffalo Bills will face the tall task of competing against superstar quarterback Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs in the second round.
With the Bills set to square off against the Chiefs once again in the postseason, the team will want to be healthy and prepared to get the best of the defending Super Bowl champions, with Buffalo set to host at Highmark Stadium, which gives them a slight edge.
Ahead of this postseason showdown in Buffalo, New York, the Bills have made a move with a slight adjustment to their roster, as one notable player didn’t work out.
According to ESPN’s Field Yates, the Bills have officially released one-time Super Bowl champion running back Leonard Fournette.

Although Fournette was thought to make the Bills’ backfield that much deeper this year, the veteran running back played in only two games for Buffalo, which were both wins on the road against the Los Angeles Chargers and Miami Dolphins.
During those two games, Fournette carried the football for the Bills only 12 times, racking up a total of 40 yards on the ground.
Obviously, Fournette wasn’t much of a game-changer for the Bills, which likely led to the team parting ways with the 28-year-old ahead of their playoff clash with the Chiefs this weekend in Buffalo.
The Bills will continue to lean on James Cook, Ty Johnson, and Josh Allen to make an impact in the run game.
