A Newbury teenager was one of 10 people arrested at a Reading FC vs Oxford United FC match this week.
Thames Valley Police officers made the arrests at the Select Car Leasing Stadium, formerly Madejski Stadium, on Tuesday, December 12.
Around 12,000 fans attended the match to enjoy a long-awaited derby game between the two teams.
But there was violent disorder in the town centre ahead of the match and 10 arrests were made.
Four men and a teenager were arrested on suspicion of violent disorder.
Three men were arrested on suspicion of affray.
Another man was arrested on suspicion of failure to comply with a Section 35 direction and affray.
And a 16-year-old boy – the youngest of the 10 individuals – was arrested on suspicion of assault.
They have all been released on bail.
TVP said there was an increased police presence in Reading town centre and the Select Car Leasing Stadium to ensure that fans, residents and the wider public felt safe when visiting the town.
Two Section 35 dispersal orders were enacted, giving officers additional powers to disperse and prevent individuals or groups from engaging in antisocial behaviour, crime and disorder.
Officers worked in partnership with venues, door staff and British Transport Police to make sure everyone got to the game safely.
Silver operational commander for the Reading FC game and superintendent Lee Barnham said: “We continue to investigate a number of incidents from throughout the evening.
