Don Goodman predicts West Brom will earn a point away at Sunderland when they head to the Stadium of Light on Saturday.
Carlos Corberan’s men will be itching to bounce back after their disappointing late defeat to Leicester last week while Sunderland are now managerless after sacking ex-Albion boss Tony Mowbray.
Former Baggies striker Goodman believes the Black Cats will, however, have enough about themselves to stop Albion from winning on Saturday (9 December).
This will be a tough game. Sunderland don’t do draws but I have a feeling this will be one. I’m going to say 2-2,” said Goodman, as quoted by the Sunderland Echo on Thursday (7 December).

West Brom’s fixtures list in recent weeks has been very tough and if you offered a fan nine points from the 15 available against Hull, Southampton, Ipswich, Cardiff and Leicester, they’d probably have taken it.
But that late defeat at the hands of Leicester at The Hawthorns on 2 December was a real sucker punch because the team did well enough to secure a point and they massively let themselves down by conceding Harry Wink’s stoppage-time winner.
Sunderland won’t be easy despite not having a manager.
They are ninth right now and sacking Mowbray was a bad decision.
Sure, they’ve got one point from their last nine available but so what? They’re still only three points away from the top six and have some reasonable fixtures to finish off December with after playing West Brom and Leeds in the coming days.
As for Albion, their fixture list for December is very hard.
After playing Sunderland, they have Rotherham and Stoke but after that, it’s Middlesbrough, Norwich and Leeds before a New Year’s Day trip to Swansea and then into the FA Cup.
January looks nicer but January is more than likely going to be dominated by transfer news at The Hawthorns due to the club’s financial position.
