The Pittsburgh Steelers made a major decision today.
Mike Tomlin and company finally cut ties with OC Matt Canada, replacing him with a bit of a committee instead.
In his press conference, the renowned coach confirmed that RB coach Eddie Faulker will be in charge of game-planning, organizing meetings, tape analysis and whatnot as their interim offensive coordinator.
As for QB coach Mike Sullivan, he’ll be in charge of offensive play-calling, with Tomlin stating that it’s a natural fit because he already has experience doing that, not to mention the fact that, as a QB coach, he’s going to be working quite closely with Kenny Pickett and give the team some cohesion in that regard.

The Steelers’ defense is special, and it’s kept them in playoff contention throughout the course of the entire campaign.
But they can only do so much when the team doesn’t produce anything on the other side of the field.
Canada’s game-planning and play-calling were severely criticized by the fans for months, and it seemed like it was just a matter of time before the team would make this decision.
Then again, with them sitting on a 6-4 record and given the way they’ve usually taken care of these kinds of situations, no one expected them to make such a major in-season movement.
That speaks volumes of the disappointing job carried out by Canada, and this team now desperately needs a major turnaround on that end of the field if they want to compete at the highest level.
