Los Angeles Rams star receiver Cooper Kupp was injured in the second quarter of the game against the Seattle Seahawks. Kupp was trying to block a Seattle defender on a run play to the outside, and he fell awkwardly to the turf and limped off of the field. He was evaluated by training staff for a leg injury and was taken to the locker room shortly after.

Head coach Sean McVay said that he felt that Kupp had been looking like his normal self and looking like he was playing at a high level again. His presence back in the Rams’ offense has been felt and has brought back the success they are used to having in the passing game.
Before he came back this season, rookie Puka Nacua was the top option for quarterback Matthew Stafford. Nacua has gone for 827 receiving yards and two touchdowns this season and has been a nice compliment to the receiving game involving Kupp as well. Kupp has amounted to 364 receiving yards and a touchdown in six games with the team this season.

His loss would be detrimental to the Rams’ offense as he has been the top option for Stafford in the passing game since he joined the team.
The Rams currently trail the Seahawks 13-7 at the half, and Kupp’s status is up in the air. Los Angeles is 3-6 and looking to get a big win against their division rival, which would help them get back into the playoff hunt.
