BREAKING: Nuggets Coach Provides Crucial Update on Jamal Murray After Worrying Head Injury

Denver Nuggets head coach Michael Malone provided a cautious update on Jamal Murray’s condition following the star guard’s head injury that forced him into the NBA’s concussion protocol. Murray, who sustained the injury during last week’s close game against the Minnesota Timberwolves, missed Denver’s dominant 129-103 victory over the Utah Jazz on Saturday. Coach Malone mentioned that while Murray has started light cardio, the team expects him to miss 5-7 days as they carefully monitor his recovery.

Denver adjusted to Murray’s absence by starting Russell Westbrook at point guard, though Westbrook had a tough night with only five points on 2-for-11 shooting. However, Nikola Jokic and Michael Porter Jr. picked up the slack, combining for 47 points and leading the Nuggets to victory.

The Nuggets, who sit comfortably in the standings, have a busy schedule ahead, with four home games starting against the Toronto Raptors on Monday. Coach Malone emphasized that while the team wants Murray back on the court, his well-being is the top priority.
