JUST IN: Ange postecoglou praises two players after tough derby

Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal played out a 2-2 draw in the North London derby on Sunday.

Tottenham Hotspur manager Ange Postecoglou has now heaped praise on the Arsenal wingers for their performance against his side.

Mikel Arteta decided to deploy Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Jesus as the wide forwards against Tottenham and both players were quite impressive throughout the game.

Saka managed to score twice in the game and Jesus had opportunities to get on the score sheet as well. Jesus missed a glorious one-versus-one opportunity to put the ball in the back of the net. However, his overall link-up play and movement caused problems for the Spurs defenders.

Postecoglou has now revealed that the Tottenham full-backs had a difficult job to do against the two players and they were outstanding and the main threats for Arsenal throughout the game.

Arsenal took the lead twice in the game and Tottenham did well to level things up. The shift in character and mentality is quite evident at Spurs and it remains to be seen whether they can build on it and compete for a place in the Champions League next season.
