Rachel Corsie has been named Aston Villa Women’s club captain for the 2023/24 season.
The Scotland international, who joined the club in 2022, has led the team on a number of occasions already and will take ownership of the armband following the departure of Remi Allen in the summer.
Corsie, 34, has made 29 appearances since signing from Kansas City Current and now forms a leadership group alongside teammates Lucy Staniforth, Rachel Daly and Dan Turner.
Staniforth, Daly and Turner will officially be named vice captains, respectively.
