Wolves winger Daniel Podence made his loan debut for Olympiacos at the weekend, after leaving Wolves earlier this month.
The 27-year-old was a late exit at Molineux, after much speculation.
But time went on, and offers were not really forthcoming for Podence.
The English window closed, and it looked as though he could potentially stay.

There was to be no breaking Podence in gently, with manager Diego Martinez electing to start the Wolves man in their Super League clash with AEK Athens.
Podence would feature for just under an hour before being replaced, and it took him 38 minutes to make a decisive contribution.
After jinking the ball to his right and scurrying into the penalty area, Podence floated a delicious cross from the right for Eyoub El Kaabi to score with a great diving header.
That was an equaliser, after Ezequiel Ponce had opened the scoring.
Podence wasn’t too involved in the game.
He only had 31 touches in the game – seven Olympiacos players had more in the game than that (via Sofascore).
He also only completed 12/20 passes (60%)
Really, it was very much a Daniel Podence kind of performance. He wasn’t so accurate with his passing. And he also lost it 12 times.

Perhaps it was inevitable that Podence would chip in with an important contribution on his debut for Olympiacos the day after Wolves lost for the fourth time this season.
One does wonder if Wolves would be any higher up the table had been in the team since the start of the season.
As frustrating as he is, he finished as Wolves’ top goalscorer last season.
Ultimately though, Wolves couldn’t really keep Podence around.
It sounded like he wanted out, and it’s unwise to keep players around that are in that headspace.
