Tottenham Hotspur’s new boy Alejo Veliz is getting used to his new surroundings following his summer transfer from Rosario Central.
The 19-year-old arrived at Tottenham as an unknown figure from Argentina – South American football expert, Tim Vickery, offered a lowdown on the player.
And now, on Thursday, Alejo Veliz, posted a message to Spurs fans via his Instagram story which read: ‘Now, yes. Let’s go’, added with the youngster in training, as well as standing next to the likes of Rodrigo Bentancur.
As Harry Kane was heading for the exit door, the young South American star entered the building.
Now, he’s not a direct replacement for the club’s record goalscorer, but he is part of a group of players that will be expected to fill the void left by the new Bayern Munich superstar.
It’s going to be interesting to see how Ange Postecoglou uses him and whether he throws him into the deep end, but it’s good to see the young star training with his new club.
Tottenham still scoring goals
When Kane left Spurs, one of the first things that was thrown at the team was ‘who is going to score the goals?’.
Well, forget about the lack of goals, it actually feels like they are scoring more now Kane has gone.
Son Heung-min hit a hat-trick last time out, whilst summer signing James Maddison has taken responsibility and now Veliz and Brennan Johnson will want to add to the party.
